Contribution to Political Parties

In India, individuals often donate to political parties to support the values, policies, and change they believe in. These contributions help fund campaigns and promote active political engagement.

Under Section 80GGC of the Income Tax Act, individuals can claim a 100% tax deduction for donations made to registered political parties or electoral trusts, provided the donation is made through non-cash modes (like bank transfer, cheque, or digital payments).

Steps to ​Claim Deduction 

  1. Navigate to File > Deductions
  2. Select Section 80GGC cardSelect Section 80GGC card
