Fix Pending Actions for TDS on Salary

Pending actions indicate the necessity to review incorrect or incomplete information in your ITR throughout the product. Addressing these issues ensures complete and accurate reporting in your ITR, reducing the chances of receiving a tax notice.

How to Identify these issues:

Any issues related to salary will be highlighted as pending actions as below:

  • Navigate to File > Incomes > Salary

Pending actions for TDS on Salary


  1.  "Credit Amount of TDS cannot be more than your gross salary"
    Credit Amount of TDS cannot be more than your gross salary


    Gross Salary must be greater than or equal to the Credit Amount on which TDS is deducted. To fix this, verify both amounts and update either the Gross Salary or TDS credit as needed.

  2. "Credit amount for the TDS must be more than or equal to taxable income"

    Exemptions or deductions claimed after adding salary reduce the taxable income below the amount reflected in TDS details. Ensure that the credit amount in TDS matches or exceeds your taxable income, and make the necessary updates.
