Add Tax Credits using Form 26AS

Form 26AS is your annual tax statement that shows all the taxes deposited against your PAN. This includes TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) on your salary or interest income, and TCS (Tax Collected at Source) on high-value transactions.

You can download Form 26AS by logging into the Income Tax e-Filing portal.

Important Note

  • Ensure the Form 26AS is for the correct financial year you're filing for.
  • The file should be unaltered and directly downloaded from the ITD portal.
  • Only PDF format is supported for uploads.

Steps to Add Tax Credits Using Form 26AS

  1. Navigate to Tax Credits Section:

    Go to File > Tax Credits from your dashboard.

  2. Select ‘Upload Form 26AS’:

    Choose the option to Upload Form 26AS.

  3. Attach Your Form 26AS File:

    Upload the downloaded PDF copy of your Form 26AS.

  4. Review Auto-Fetched Credits:

    Once uploaded, your TDS and TCS credits will be auto-fetched.

    Review the details and proceed with filing.
