How to file Form 10-IEA on Income Tax Portal?
Starting FY 2023–24, the new tax regime is the default for all taxpayers. But if the old regime offers you better tax benefits and you have income from business or profession, you can choose to opt out.
To do that, you must file Form 10-IEA before filing your ITR-3 or ITR-4. This declaration informs the Income Tax Department that you’re switching from the default regime.
