Import Trades & Report Business Income using Investment Apps
If you're trading in Intraday or Futures & Options (F&O), it's important to know that these are treated as business income under the Income Tax Act and must be reported under the Business & Profession (B&P) category.
⚠️ Since Intraday and F&O are considered business income, you are required to file ITR-3.
Steps to Import Trades Using Investment Apps
You can easily import your trade data by connecting your broker’s account via supported investment apps:
- Navigate to File > Business & Profession > Add Business
- Choose Trading Securities – Intraday and F&O

- Click on Import from Investment Apps
- Select your broker from the list and click Connect

- Log in to your broker account securely
- Once connected, your trade details will be automatically imported
This ensures accuracy and saves time when reporting turnover, revenue, and expenses.
