Add or Update Address and Contact Information

Add or Update Address and Contact Information

If you’ve relocated for work or other reasons, you might be unsure whether to use your permanent or current address in your profile. The address you provide will be used for tax reporting and communication by the Income Tax Department (ITD).

Don’t worry – in most cases, ITD also sends communications via email. It’s best to use your current address and personal contact details.

If you’re an NRI without an Indian address, make sure to include your foreign address and contact information.

How to Add Your Address and Contact Information

1. Autofill from ITD

  1. Go to Profile Icon > View Profile

  2. Click on Connect to fetch all your profile details

  3. Connect to the ITD app using your credentials or Aadhaar OTP

  4. Your address, contact details, and Aadhaar information will be imported from your ITD account

2. Update Manually

  1. Go to Profile Icon > View Profile

  2. Under Personal Details, change your address and contact information
