The Income Tax Return is a PDF that serves as proof of your income, expenses, and taxes paid for a financial year. It's useful for loan or visa applications, opening a demat account, record keeping, etc. Previous year's ITR can help verify brought-forward losses and other details when filing the current year's return.
Here's how you can view/ download filed tax returns
- Navigate to File > Documents and download the ITR

To access past year's ITR, follow these steps:
- Navigate to File > View Filed Tax Returns > Explore

- Select Income tax return under Tax Documents

- Choose the assessment year and click Download

- Connect to ITD with Aadhaar OTP or credentials
The latest ITR for the selected year will be downloaded as a PDF.
