No, a taxpayer will not be able to receive a tax refund without a bank account.
As per the Income Tax Department it is mandatory for a taxpayer to have atleast one bank account , in order to issue e-refunds. Only those bank accounts that have been pre-validated will be eligible for the tax refunds.
In order to pre-validate bank account, you must also confirm that your PAN is linked to the bank account to which the income tax refund must be credited.
