Section 80GGC allows a tax deduction to all Persons (other than Indian Company) for their contribution to any political party or an electoral trust. 100% of their contribution are tax deductible subject to the mode of payment is not cash.

Adding deductions u/s 80GGC,

Lets claim some deductions against the donations you have made to your preferred political party,

  1. Navigate to Save > Begin/Edit > Deductions > Add/Proceed.
  2. Select Section 80GGC and click on Proceed.
  3. Add the details of any donations made to political parties.
  4. Once you have added the amounts correctly, click on Save.

You would be able view all the deductions you have added in the summary view under, Tax Situation > Deductions.
