If you are an investor having Capital Gains, but your broker isn't listed with us? No worries! You can still import your trades using the Excel template.


Steps to Import Trades Using the Excel Template

1. Download the Quicko Excel Template

  • Go to File > Capital Gains > Add Securities

  • Select Upload P&L Report

  • Enter your account details

  • Scroll down and download the Excel Template by Quicko


2. Map Data to the Template

Use your broker’s Tax P&L report to fill in the required details in the Excel template.

For Stocks/ Bonds/ Debentures:
  • Open the Excel template and navigate to the Stocks tab

  • Enter the following details: ISIN number, Symbol, Is unlisted?, Is STT not paid?, Quantity, Buy Date, Buy Price (per unit), Sell Date, Sell Price (per unit), FMV, Transfer Expense

For Mutual funds/ ETFs:
  • Open the Excel template and navigate to the Futures/Options tab

  • Enter the following details: ISIN number, Symbol, Scheme name, Scheme type, Is unlisted?, Quantity, Buy Date, Buy Price (per unit), Sell Date, Sell Price (per unit), FMV, Transfer Expense 


Ensure that "Buy date" and "Sell date" is in DD/MM/YYY format. 


Once the details are filled in, save the template and upload it under File > Capital Gains > Upload P&L report.


If there's a formatting issue or missing fields during the upload, the system will show an error. You can download the error report and make the necessary changes.
